Our Houston, TX office is currently seeking a Structural Engineer
Design/ coordination of FPSO FEED contractor work as related to topsides structural design. Participation in discipline-related workshops (i.e. cost and schedule, topsides, operations, HES/HAZOP/HAZID etc.), and attend meetings with outside engineering consultants. Participation in EPCI technical bids preparation and evaluation in area of expertise Ensuring that the design meets the project performance requirements and Company safety, quality, and standards
BS Structural Engineering MS Optional
10 or more years experience and extensive knowledge in the design, construction and modification of complex/major equipment and facilities such as large oil and gas production facilities and large offshore structures. Demonstrated capability to handle complex and concurrent projects with multiple facets. Experience with Oil and Gas Operators and / or CVX preferred
Thorough knowledge of applicable industry codes and company standards and specifications related to structural design, construction, inspection and testing. Designs, constructs and modifies major equipment and facilities such as deepwater offshore structures. Thorough knowledge of modeling software like PDMS.
Open and effective communication and stakeholder management skills. Demonstrated effectiveness in working with others in multifunctional, global team environment. Good interpersonal, team engagement and ability to influence across organization Location: Company downtown offices and Contractor Offices (within Houston Area) Travel: Local and other international locations (variable up to 35% during FEED engineering)
