Job Description:
At Key Energy Services our mission is to be a leading global well intervention and production enhancement service company. Key Energy is the largest provider of onshore well service rigs in the United States and one of the leading onshore, rig-based well servicing contractors in the world. We provide a complete range of well services, including rig-based well maintenance, workover, well completion and recompletion, fluid management, coiled tubing, fishing and rental, hydra walk and ancillary oilfield services.

We are currently seeking a Director of Health/Safety/Environment - Fishing and Rental Services and EDGE for our location in Houston, TX.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Directs the training and presentations by each safety representative, reviewing and evaluating training materials for effectiveness, auditing safety training records for proper record keepin
    • Performs audits on rig/unit inspections conducted by safety representative(s) to ensure they are done according to established guidelines and procedures programs for area employees and in developing annual safety budgets
    • Collaborates with Area HSE, LOB Management and VP HSE in developing safety training
    • Coordinates activities with risk management and HSE in the management of the loss prevention process (e.g. Worker's Compensation, Litigation, OSHA, etc.) by ensuring incident reports and any status changes are reported promptly and accurately
    • Reviews all incident investigations to ensure reports are prepared thoroughly and accurately.
    • Prepares weekly and monthly reports compiling incident statistics and forwarding them to Area HSE, LOB Management and Corporate HSE department
    • Develops safety improvement plans to improve at risk behaviors, incidents etc. for target problem districts, setting goals and objectives and monitoring progress
    • Conducts safety meeting with safety representatives to review safety successes and progress and to discuss improvement areas
    • Facilitates Key safety incentives to ensure all area LOB employees are trained in the STOP safety principles
    • Provides oversight in enforcing the drug testing programs and D.O.T. requirements
    • Identifies and selects appropriate professional development opportunities for Key HSE personnel (ASSE, ASP/CSP, OSHA, DuPont, college accredited courses, state recognition, NSC)
    • Performs other related duties as assigned

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

    • High School Diploma or GED equivalent
    • An Associate Degree or two (2) years of college education highly preferred
    • Ten (10) or more years of oilfield-related safety experience
    • Ability to solve problems and make sound decisions
    • Good communication skills including ability to make effective presentations
    • Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Applications
    • Ability to interact and deal effectively with diverse groups
    • Supervisory skills and experience desirable
