Job Description:
Aerotek has immediate needs for several qualified Electrical Assemblers for our large manufacturing client located close to Downtown Houston, TX. This position is a 3 month contract to hire role and can interview a.s.a.p.

Position Title: Electrical Assembler - Class A, B & C

Overview:  Assemble all electrical components as needed.

Key Job Responsibilities:

    • Perform manual processes to complete mechanical and electrical assemblies and sub-assemblies, using hand tools, and electric and pneumatic tooling.
    • Reports defective material or questionable conditions to the department supervisor.
    • Maintain the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follows prescribed safety regulations.
    • Complete tasks as directed by manufacturing schedule with minimum supervision
    • Other duties as directed by supervisor

Job Skills:

    • Ability to established methods and procedures
    • Familiarity with assembly and measuring tools, interpretation of visual aids and ability to perform simple shop math.
    • Must have a good command of the English language, both written and verbal.

Physical Requirements/Work Environment:

    • Work performed in a shop environment;
    • Exposed to any number of elements but with none present to the extent of being disagreeable;
    • May work at different workstations as production needs require, or shifts from one station to another, during the assembly process;
    • Physical effort equal to frequent moving of up to 50lbs materials;
    • Regularly required to sit or stand, bend and reach;
    • The use of Safety Glasses is required;
    • The use of earplugs is recommended;
    • Ability to stand up to 10 hours a day (with a lunch in between) and up to 6 days a week;
    • Ability to work in a non air-conditioned environment.
    • Steel-toe boots required in Manufacturing Facility

Specific Duties are Assigned According to Skill Level Demonstrated as follows:

Class C

    • Be able to perform conduit
    • Piping and support fabrication
    • Pull wiring

Class B

    • All of the requirements of Class C plus
    • LV wiring + termination
    • MV wiring + termination

Class A

    • All of the requirements of Class B & C plus
    • Control wiring and MCC wiring
