 Our client, a leader in offshore deepwater drilling in South America is looking for an experienced Captain/OIM for one of their in operation vessels located offshore Brazil.
The selected candidate will be the most senior point of contact on the vessel, overseeing all drilling operations and managing maritime and maintenance crew. They will liaise with the Rig Manager on a daily basis to support the delivery of professional rig and well operations, resulting in effective drilling and optimum completion performance.
You will need to have a minimum of 10years experience in the drilling/marine industry with at least 3-5 years experience in the required role. Good communication skills are a must; both written and oral. Portuguese language skills would be highly beneficial but not essential and you will need to have excellent leadership skills to develop individuals both on the rig and those in marine operations.
Our client is offering an excellent salary with a very competitive bonus scheme. You will have full medical and life cover. This will be a full time opportunity looking to start as soon as possible and candidates with experience of working offshore Brazil will be highly desirable to our client. All offshore certificates and necessary documents must be valid.
