Position is with Major Operator in Houston, TX as a Lead Offshore Project Quality Engineer/Manager.  Competitive Pay. Subsea experience is a plus. Must have BSC.  5+ years experience required.

The Quality Engineer position will work to apply the Quality Management System to project.

Minimum qualifications are:

    1. Bachelors degree in Engineering (mechanical, civil, petroleum, chemical preferred) or equivalent
    2. 5+ years of project engineering/project management/project quality experience in oil and gas industry, with understanding of project processes from design to operations
    3. 4+ years of manufacturing-related (machining, fabricating, assembly) experience, preferred
    4. Ability to effectively implement and facilitate quality work in large project teams (over 50 people)
    5. Ability to influence and deliver results through others
    6. Ability to prioritize workload and multi-task
    7. Self-motivated and independent thinker, with ability to implement goals with minimal supervision

Key responsibilities:

    1. Plan quality activities for the project
    2. General quality oversight of QMS-required processes (lessons learned, ITP review, etc)
    3. Manage technical deliverables and verify approvals per corporate guidelines
    4. Technical Integrity Verification program -
    a. Verify implementation of technical criteria
    5. Quality risk identification and mitigation
    a. Assess project risks during design and construction
    b. Develop risk mitigation plan and Key Performance Indicators
    6. Audits
    7. Bid evaluation and vendor assessment
