 A Major Operator requires a Project Risk Coordinator to join their team in Alberta.
It is preferred that the successful candidate will have a degree or diploma in engineering or technologist.
Strong interpersonal, communication and English skills are essential as constant and effective communication are key to this role as well as leading group workshops.
Preference given to candidates who can demonstrate background in relevant project risk work including knowledge of risk types, mitigations, etc.
MS Office tools, especially Outlook, Excel and WORD.
Though this position is primarily for qualitative risk work and coordination, experience with quantitative risk analysis (cost and schedule), tools and techniques is advantageous
This role is to lead and coordinate the project risk management work across the portfolio of the Tailings & Infrastructure group (Oil Sands) and includes:
Assist teams in building and maintaining project Risk Management Systems and Risk Registers for individual projects and across portfolios of projects
Learn and apply corporate risk management standards and scale as appropriate
Lead and coordinate Risk Workshops
Evaluate project risks and mitigations
Ensure risk registers are up to date
Coordinate and prepare for risk portions of project reviews
Train users in use of risk management tool
Develop overview reports of risk/opportunity status for management and individuals
Discuss and challenge risk status with project team as well as closing out risk items.
