Job Description:
|
 This position provides rotating and fixed equipment expense projects engineering support which will improve reliability and optimize area production units. The incumbent will work closely with technical groups, operations and maintenance personnel to identify, scope, design, and execute non-capital projects across the site.
Responsibilities
- Technical supervision of design resources
- Perform in depth investigations to properly identify, eliminate the root cause of incidents and complete/close findings
- Identify, prioritize and resolve project issues as it relates to reliability
- Support major unit turnaround projects
Qualifications
- B.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering
- Minimum of 3 years of work experience in the refining/petrochemical industry
- Must demonstrate a working knowledge of all applicable engineering codes and standards with their application
- Thorough knowledge of project management processes, equipment, and materials
- Strong analytical skills
- Knowledge of reliability engineering, maintenance best practices and root cause analysis
- Must have excellent teamwork and communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing within all levels of the organization
- Strong interpersonal and leadership skills will be critical for the resolution of issues associated with completing day to day activities.
Preferred
- Experience with both fixed and rotating equipment
