Our Houston, TX office is currently seeking a LQ Coordinator
The LQ Coordinator reports to the Topside Package Manager and is responsible for all activities pertaining to design, procurement, fabrication, transportation, installation and HUC of the Living Quarters of the FPSO (and coordination / interface with other functional teams). It is currently envisioned that the LQ will be designed to accommodate approximately 180 personnel.
The LQ Coordiantor will be instrumental in defining and implementing the LQ execution plan, along with KEY JOB
RESPONSIBILITIES:
The successful candidate must have knowledge of oil & gas major capital projects, with LQ and international experience.
Key functions:
- Overall accountability and responsibility for engineering, procurement , construction installation and commissioning of the LQ.
- Exercise a high degree of independence, lead a multifunctional international team
The ability to lead a team and the ability to interact effectively with a variety of joint venture, project management and contractor personnel is essential. Must be flexible, goal-oriented and have strong interpersonal skills, a professional demeanor and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
EXPERIENCE:
• 15+ years experience in handling large complex Major Capital Projects.
• Extensive experience in managing large LQ scopes (preferably harsh environment).
• Experienced in the design, fabrication, installation and commissioning of LQs associated with FPSOs.
• Must be able to exercise a high degree of independence.
• Experience working effectively with FEED, detailed engineering contractors and fabrication yards.
• Experience working with large, multi-discipline project teams
• Harsh environment FPSO experience, familiarity with UK standards & Legislation and previous positive project experience would be a distinct advantage.
TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE:
• Knowledge and understanding of specific codes, and industry standards and practices applicable to the design, fabrication, construction, inspection, quality assurance, and installation and commissioning of an LQ is required.
• Demonstrated expertise in the management of large LQ projects is a prerequisite.
• Familiarity with Engineering Standards and UK Legislation / Standards considered a plus. In any event, position will be required to learn all Engineering Standards associated with the LQ scope.
• Requires a layman's level of knowledge for other disciplines involved in the design of the offshore facilities.
• Registered Professional Engineer considered a plus.
