Job Description:
|
 JOB SUMMARY: Performs as project specialist, or manager on smaller projects/studies; expert in technical field, technical advisor or lead engineer on complex tasks. Works under the supervision of more senior personnel.
WORK PERFORMED:
• Supports proposals efforts
• Programs engineering software
• Provides technical guidance
• Responsible for riser design and analysis
• Develops cost estimates
• Develops budget
• Develops project schedule
• Performs pipe analysis and design
• Prepares project review reports
• Vendor interface
• Write and approve technical reports
Education:
MS in Naval Architect, Ocean Engineering, Structural, Civil, Mechanical or any suitable technical discipline, from accredited college or university or equivalent
Skills:
• Effective English communication skills
• Familiar with Microsoft Office Suite or equivalent
• Knowledge of at least one of the following software: Abaqus, Orcaflex, Flexcon-3D ANSYS or other acceptable riser analysis software.
• Able to convince and sell technical concepts and solutions
• Able to follow company policies and procedures
• Works well in team environment
• Able to transfer knowledge
• Able to work well with clients
• Able to seek clarification
• Able to report
• Able to prepare technical reports
• Able to accept and implement decisions
Previous Experience:
• 3 or more years experience in technical field
• 1 or more years experience in similar position
Qualified candidates will possess a bachelor degree in Engineering (Ocean, Structural or Mechanical) with preference given to candidates having an advanced degree.
