Job Description:
Our Client: Has specialized in turbo machinery controls for over 35 years. They serve customers in a broad range of industries including oil, gas, chemical, petrochemical, refineries, LNG, pipelines, steel mills, pharmaceutical, machine-building, and power generation facilities. They also construct new turbo machinery controls and retrofit existing equipment. Job Description: This position is located in Houston, TX. Provide technical and commercial support for the sales process including preparation of commercial/technical proposals and documents that define preliminary control system design, hardware requirements, etc. Responsibilities:
  • Assist with review of technical specifications, terms, and conditions for job proposal and contracts that includes preliminary control system design, hardware requirements, tool development, P&ID generation and description.
  • Use engineering studies and design documents with assistance from other Application Engineers and other departments to generate basis of design documents for successful projects.
  • Assist in the review of existing customer installations to look for process improvements and related economical justifications.
  • Provide technical support for sales employees, representatives and customers and for information to order-entry group.
  • Assist in the review of existing control systems.
  • Assist with site surveys.
Education/Experience:
  • Must be authorized to work in the US for any employer without authorization
  • B.S. degree in Engineering or related discipline from a recognized university
  • Two years of experience. Two years experience with turbo machinery and general-purpose controls is desirable.
Knowledge & Skills:
  • Proficiency in the use of all Microsoft Office products. Technical writing ability with emphasis on consultative selling approach.
  • Basic knowledge of turbo machinery and general purpose controls.
  • Fluency in other European languages (Spanish, French, German, Italian, and Dutch) is highly desirable.
  • Domestic and/or international travel is required.
