A challenging role working in our Electrical Engineering, Programming and Automation group to meet engineering, design and maintenance for our natural gas plants, compressor stations and well facilities. Depending upon qualifications this position may be filled at the Senior Electrical Engineering level.

Responsibilities include electrical, automation, instrumentation and programming needs for large and small capital/maintenance projects with the expectation that the applicant would advance multiple projects simultaneously, planning and/or execution of engineering and programming with active participation in the Electrical Safety and Process Safety Management programs.
Specifically, designing, troubleshooting, start-up, verification of code compliance in construction and design. Integrate, design and implement PLC and HMI systems associated with processing plants, gas compression facilities, automated wellhead operation, production equipment and liquid pumping stations including the interaction of these systems with existing systems with emphasis on securely sharing information. Perform other duties as assigned.

Applicants must have outstanding communications skills (oral and written) and an ability to translate the most technical of concepts to all levels. Although the primary workplace is at the corporate office, assignments require travel to remote locations and occasional irregular hours. Position also involves management and/or technical support for major capital projects and maintenance projects.

Requirements

    • Knowledge of: Strong engineering fundamentals in electrical power, service entrance design, power distribution, MCC's, switch gear, power generation, load analysis NEC and API codes as they apply to hazardous areas for gas liquids and vapors.
    • Skills in: advanced trouble shooting techniques; making informed decisions and recommendations based on researched information including economics; research and develop innovative ideas and uses of technology; analyze problems and systematically find solutions.
    • Abilities to: design and create user-friendly and intuitive P & ID's, one-lines, schematics, and wiring diagrams, read and understand P & ID's, one-lines, schematics, and wiring diagrams; effectively interact with customers, government agencies, sales representatives, engineers, and co-workers; work with and inspect contractors to assure company standards are achieved.
    • Minimum qualifications: BS degree in Electrical Engineering and Minimum of four years experience in oil and/or gas - processing or related field. PE is preferred; applicants must possess a valid driver's license and an acceptable driving record. Position requires a high level of proficiency in Microsoft Office products (particularly Word and Excel).CAD experience and power system analysis software such as SKM or ETAP is preferred
