Role Synopsis
This role is for a Mechanical Manufacturing Engineer located in Houston, Texas.

Key Responsibilities/Accountabilities

  • Plans and conducts research and development of standard engineering assignments.
  • Assignments can be a significant portion of a larger project.
  • Develops and implements new production methods.
  • Recommends and implements improvements in the production process.
  • Selects engineering techniques to solve problems and makes sound recommendations.
  • Assesses results for applicability, validity and conformance to specifications.
  • May be the lead engineer on smaller project with some functional supervision.
  • Usually works with minimum supervision, conferring with superior on unusual matters.
  • May be assisted by entry or junior level personnel.
  • Assists in project planning and review.
  • Assignments are broad in nature, requiring originality and ingenuity.
  • Assignments are reviewed for overall soundness and adherence to stated objectives. Handles special projects as assigned.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering
  • Intermediate analytical skills.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Good problem-solving skills.
  • Basic project management skills.
  • Sound working knowledge of principles, concepts, theories, and/or practices of applicable discipline.


Desired/Preferred Qualifications

  • 1+ year's related experience working in an assembly shop or assembly environment, troubleshooting technical and assembly issues such as non-compliant parts or assembly problems.
  • 1 year of Solid Works, AutoCAD background strongly preferred.
  • Basic analytical skills.
  • 1 year of material stress analysis experience.
  • SAP experience
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Basic problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge of general principles, concepts, theories, and practices of applicable discipline.

Other Details

Travel up to 5% of the time.
