Role Synopsis
This Production Manager will have responsibility for the daily operation of a general purpose batch chemical facility manufacturing a variety of products. The selected candidate will have multiple direct reports including production and engineering staff. They will work closely with Quality Control, HSE, and Maintenance Managers to ensure continual compliance and efficient plant operation


Key Responsibilities/Accountabilities
This role is responsible for all related functions including:

  • Plant operations
  • Cost control
  • Budget preparation
  • Safety and regulatory compliance
  • Continual plant improvement
  • Capital projects
  • Troubleshooting and resolving operational, manufacturing, and maintenance issues to ensure efficient operation and minimum costs

Basic Qualifications
  • B.S or higher degree in Chemical Engineering
  • 5 - 10+ years of work experience in a chemical manufacturing facility handling hazardous chemicals

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with PSM, Process Optimization, Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, or Project Management
  • 3+ years previous management experience
  • Experience with resin or polymer manufacturing
