Champion Technologies has an immediate opening for an Account Manager at its District facility located in Guy, AR. In this role, the incumbent will serve as the primary sales and account management representative to one key account. Additionally responsible for coordinating the needs of the accounts Sales and Research groups with Champion Technologies Research and Technical Service groups.
Champion Technologies is a world leader in the production of specialty chemical products focused on solving oilfield problems related to the production of crude oil and natural gas. Established in 1953 and headquartered in Houston, TX, Champion has a significant presence in the major oilfield areas of the world.
SUMMARY OF JOB DUTIES:
Primary sales and account manager. Develops and maintains sales relationships with customer personnel. This includes daily interaction with customer purchasing, research, regulatory and technical service employees.
Responsible for maintaining current sales levels and increasing sales volumes and profit margins in the future.
Initiates and oversees projects requested by the customer with the Champion Research staff.
Develops and maintains reports for the customer on Champion research and technical services projects.
Troubleshoots problems related to the customers orders, shipping or product quality.
Assists customer personnel in the field to determine solutions to problems associated with current products sold.
Participates in regional and national technical conferences relating to well stimulation.
Forecasts and monitors annual budget for sales, expenses and profitability.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS (special skills, knowledge, ability, education, etc.):
5-7 years of sales experience in the oil & gas industry
Must be elligible to work in the US on a regular, full-time basis
Minimum of 5 years of research and development and/or technical services experience in the oilfield chemical industry.
Strong verbal and written communications skills.
Previous oilfield chemical sales or marketing experience strongly preferred.
Excellent computer skills.
Must be medically qualified to wear a respirator.
Physically able to lift 50 pounds, climb stairs or a ladder, and agile enough to squat and bend over (Agility Tests 1, 2a & 2b)
