Excellent quality company who is a provider of world-class engineering, procurement, construction and installation (EPCI) services for the deepwater floating drilling and production market. You will join a talented international team of engineering and delivery professionals in this challenging position.
Your main responsibilities will include the following:
* Carry out global motion and stability analyses of WFS standard products and prepare associated technical documentation.
* Support proposal preparation and configuration sizing studies, and prepare associated technical documentation.
* Develop wave basin and wind tunnel testing plans, supervise test programs, and prepare associated documentation.
* Prepare technical papers for conferences and make technical presentations.
* Check and approve specifications, drawings and reports.
* Supervise and mentor junior staff and engineering interns.
To be considered you need:
* Masters level degree or PhD in Naval Architecture or Mechanical/Civil/Ocean Engineering specializing in Structural Dynamics / Hydrodynamics from an accredited university.
* Between 2 and 5 years of engineering experience in global motions and stability analyses of TLPs, Spars, Semis and FPSOs.
* Experience in analysis of riser systems is a distinct advantage.
* Proficient with industry-standard coupled global motions and stability analysis tools.
* Familiar with global motion and stability analysis procedures, and their relationship to the relevant design codes and regulations.
* Familiar with wave basin and wind tunnel model testing procedures.
* Superior oral and written communication skills.
