In this "boutique" type offshore/ oil & gas engineering firm you will have the opportunity to experience big company expertise packed into a small-company culture. There are many opportunities to grow professionally, learn new skills, and acquire knowledge.
In this position you will have electrical project responsibilities for the design of offshore facilities, petrochemical facilities, meter stations, and compressors stations. Your responsibilities will include the following:
* Sizing equipment including generators, switchgear, motor control centers, and transformer
* Prepare electrical documents including load lists and one-line diagrams
* Must be able to read schematics including switchgear logic, motor schematics, and motor control center wiring
* Apply electrical engineering design knowledge in power generation and distribution, grounding, cathodic protection, lighting, and equipment specification and selection
* Analyze complex engineering problems and offer effective resolutions
* Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor as needed
* Must have advanced knowledge of applicable codes, standards, and acceptable industry practices including NFPA 70 and API RP 500
To be considered you need:
* Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering
* 15+ Years experience
* P.E. License a plus
* Willing to teach and mentor less experienced engineers
* Able to work individually and in a team setting
* Must be able to travel up to 5% of the time
