Job Description:
Duties & Responsibilities  

This is a mid-level engineering position within OIE-PCRS. The Project Engineer is responsible for support on small to medium-sized projects and/or individual components of larger more complex projects.

Responsibilities include conceptual work, engineering analysis and final detailed design of products and systems. Writes and/or reviews technical proposals, equipment evaluations and sourcing. Conducts product testing and offshore field operations of hardware (as needed). Allocates assignments of various portions of a project to assigned Designers/Drafters, Technicians or other Engineers. Develops project budgets and schedules on an as needed basis. Interfaces with customers to provide project status reports and ensure customer needs are met. Provides status and progress reports to customer, project team, and management. Follows directions from supervisors and works well in Teams.

Qualifications  

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, preferably Mechanical Engineering with knowledge of traditional stress analysis techniques; Three (3) to seven (7) years of related experience and/or training. ASME Sect. VIII, Pressure Vessel Code and API Specifications knowledge a plus (e.g. API 6A, 16A, 6H, 17D, 5L, etc.). Prior knowledge of pipeline repair systems and equipment (used in shallow and deep water), a strong plus.

To perform this job successfully, an individual must have working knowledge of Microsoft Word, and Excel.  Candidate must be proficient in Solidworks. Knowledge of MathCAD, Enovia/PLM (Product Life Management) Systems a strong plus.

Good working knowledge of Engineering Fundamentals, including pressure vessel design and stress calculations.
