Welders

Uses MIG, metal core MIG and stick electrode welding process
Makes quality X-Ray and U.T. welds with minimum rework
Fits and welds pipe on pin wheel
Interprets radiographic x-ray films
May layout and mark weld points on parts or sub-assemblies using rule, square, scribe, or templates
May position pieces to be welded into jigs, holding fixtures, guides and steps using measuring instruments and hand tools
Operates cutting equipment
Works well with other departments on location of tie-in points for instrument and auxiliary pipe
Promotes and supports safety, production and positive attitude

Must pass 6G and 1G welding procedures test
Must have own welding hood, chipping hammer, and wire cutting pliers
Certified Master Welder in-house certificate
Read, write, speak and understand basic English
Must have a valid driver's license
Working knowledge of relevant HSE procedures and regulations

High school diploma or equivalent; or three to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
5 to 8 years welding experience
Welding school or on the job training
Certification to weld on pipe or plate
Knowledge of different types and sizes of pipe, structural and vessel materials
