Job Description:

The Project Manager will be expected to manage project activities to client's satisfaction, within the established budget and schedule in order to deliver a complete, functional design or facility. The Project Manager will represent Mustang's interest in client communications and negotiations. This position will generally lead a project or be responsible for a portion of a larger project, reporting to another project manager. Additional duties include preparation of proposals or assistance in proposal preparation.

Specific skills and responsibilities include:

  • Plan and lead the writing of proposals for all phases of EPCM and PMC work.
  • Plan, direct, co-ordinate, control and manage the work
  • Execute Project in accordance with corporate practices and Project procedures
  • Developing and implementing a project execution plan that meets with Company and Contract requirements
  • Provide leadership and commitment to the Project HSE and Quality Plan
  • Keeping to the control budget within the objectives established for the Project
  • To focus upon customer care and customer feedback
  • To understand the Project 'business case' and drivers
  • Act as focal point for Engineering, Procurement, and Construction Support services resources deployed on the project
  • Interface closely with client management representatives to ensure client interests are being accommodated
  • Clearly define and communicate the project objectives and organization to the Project team
  • To feedback to the Company, data related to performance of work on a regular basis
  • To monitor and expedite account receivables for the Project
  • To document lessons learned and to review/implement lessons learned from other Projects
  • To protect the reputation of Mustang
  • To close out the Project
  • Travel opportunities to US & international fabrication and construction sites as needed for construction management
  • Engineering Degree
  • 20+ years experience in an engineering or construction related industry, with 10+ years in a supervisory or management capacity and experience in medium to large, complex LNG projects
  • Excellent communication, supervision, and managerial skills
  • Fabrication yard or offshore construction experiences is a plus
  • Texas Professional Engineering registration preferred
