Client of e-technology is currently recruiting for a 3D Modeling/ Design Electrical and Instrument Supervisor.
Summarized key responsibilities: Work as Electrical and Instrument Modeling/Design Group Supervisor on and off Projects.
Estimate, Plan and Manage Electrical and Instrument Design for Floating Production and Drilling Systems (FPSO, Semi-Sub, TLP, Drill Rigs, etc.). Responsible for assigning tasks to Designers, producing modeling and design guidelines, provide training and team development as needed. Ensure work is completed within project schedule and budget. Check and ensure accuracy of design. Interface with electrical and instrument Engineers and other modeling disciplines. Responsible for production of Instrument and F&G Layout Drawings, Cable Schedule, Electrical and Instrument Installation Details (Supports & Hook-ups), Electrical and Instrument Cable Tray sizing and Layouts, Tray Fill calculations and MTO, Termination and Loop Drawings, Review and comment on Vendor Package drawings, amongst others.
Position requires excellent technical knowledge and overview within discipline both on the technical and in the use of design software. Candidates must possess strong leadership, communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to estimate, plan and monitor work. AutoCAD and PDMS required; Intools preferred.
Qualified candidates having a proven track record with a minimum of 12 years E&I 3D design experience, with the last 3 years being in a lead or supervisory possessing a College degree in an Electrical or Instrumentation discipline is preferred. Alternatively, qualified candidates having a proven track record with at least 15 years 3D E&I design experience with the last 3 years being in a lead or supervisory role, without a college degree will be considered.
Offshore drilling or production facility design experience in an engineering environment required. Experience in construction yard will be an added advantage.
