Essential Job Duties:
Oxy is a growing, action-oriented exploration and production company. We are looking for an experienced and motivated individual to fill the position of Engineering Specialist within our Well Servicing Group (Completions, Workover, & Maintenance). This position is responsible for the following: Providing data, information, and support to our engineering, logistics, & field operations staff; input, maintain, QC, extract, manipulate, and analyze data, recognize variations/deviations/opportunities from the data; assist with preparation of well workover or new well completion packages/procedures; Create and utilize spreadsheets and databases to be used in screening and analyzing data.
Required Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED
Minimum of 2 yrs. experience with a strong understanding of oilfield operations.
Proficient with the Microsoft Office suite of software (Access, Excel, Word).
Strong time management skills plus the ability to multi-task.
Effective team player who can work with minimum supervision.
Strong verbal and written communication skill set.
Additional Desired Qualifications:
Associate degree or some college courses in computer science, engineering, or mathematics.
Oilfield experience.
Basic understanding of sub-surface rig work and artificial lift methods.
Proficiency with OpenWells or Lowis WSM
Experience with tracking/reporting costs.
Familiarity with DOGGR reporting requirements.
