Our client is a pioneer in the offshore oil and gas industry and is now opening a new office in Rio that will be a general office with the potential to develop in a execution center, similar as the offices already existing in Europe, USA and Asia.
Reporting to the Naval Discipline Manager, your main responsabilities will be:
- To analyze, determine and specify the Naval Architectural requirements and considerations applicable to the Company's products and proposals and advise on appropriate equipment;
- To design efficient Naval Architectural systems and equipment which can be realized safely and economically;
- To produce, organize and coordinate the production of Naval Architectural design deliverables such as calculation reports, specifications, etc;
- To provide technical expertise for Naval Architectural matters;
- To act as a Lead Engineer for a project order execution or Package Engineer to follow up equipment Supplier (in line with Company instructions);
- To design, and review designs of Naval Architectural Systems in order to produce, organize and coordinate the production of reports and specifications;
- To identify and write specifications for the Naval Architectural aspects applicable to the Company's products (taking into account the Company Corporate Engineering Standards);
- To use the appropriate software for analyses, calculations and design aids. Perform stability calculations and develop loading & stability booklets. Develop tank capacity plan and general arrangement drawing;
- To follow all Management Systems Procedures, Standard Instructions and Departmental Working Instructions relevant to the engineering of Naval Architectural Systems;
- To recommend and follow all quality assurance and safety factors/requirements applicable to the Naval Architectural design;
- To identify and recommend inspection requirements for relevant vessel/naval systems and equipment on projects;
- To monitor and review internal drawings, specifications and standard documentation on Naval Architectural design and related matters;
- To ensure that project documents for Naval activities are accurate, checked and issued in a timely and efficient manner.
We are looking for professionals with university degree in a relevant engineering discipline (e.g. Naval Architecture), experienced in relevant engineering/construction industry and fluent in english language.
