Frontier Drilling, a deepwater drilling contractor headquartered in Houston, TX, has five openings for a Senior Subsea Specialist on the Bully I, our purpose built drillship, currently under construction and capable of ultra-deepwater DP operations worldwide, specifically designed for moored and DP arctic operations.
The Senior Subsea Specialist reviews and approves configuration layouts, plans and supervises the installation and testing of subsea BOP and related equipment. The Senior Subsea Specialist also oversees BOP maintenance and overhauls.
Candidates must have a minimum of one year experience as a Senior Subsea Specialist (or equivalent position) working with similar equipment with another drilling contractor, or a minimum of two years as a Subsea Specialist with another drilling contractor on a deepwater vessel. Candidates must also be eligible to work in the U.S.
The successful candidate will have:
- Well Control Certificate at the supervisor's level
- Advanced safety knowledge
- Advanced knowledge of subsea equipment
- Advanced knowledge of subsea pneumatic, hydraulic and mechanical systems
