Job Description:
Duties:

  • Prepares design calculations, computerized analyses, specifications, and/or performs other engineering tasks using prescribed methods and procedures.  
  • Independently evaluates, selects and applies standard engineering techniques and methods to assignments with few unusual or complex features.  
  • Should be familiar with industry practices, codes and standards, such as ASME, API, DNV, etc.  
  • Should be fluent in design/installation engineering software such as Flexcom 3D, Offpipe, Sage Profile 3D, Finite Element based packages, etc.
  • Uses judgment to make minor adaptations and modifications.
  • May serve as the lead engineer on a small project without technical complexity and may review the work of less experienced engineers.  
  • Recognizes problems, discrepancies and areas of technical complexity and requests help when needed.  
  • Assignments have clearly defined objectives and expected outcomes.
  • Receives instructions on performance of assignment, objectives and complex features.  
  • A more experienced engineer provides assistance and reviews unusual aspects of work for sound judgment and proper application of methods.

Qualifications:

  • Excellent written and oral skills.  
  • Prioritizes and plans work activities; plans for additional resources.  
  • Identifies and resolves problems in a timely manner.  
  • Monitors own work to ensure quality while looking for ways to improve and promote quality.  
  • Able to work cooperatively within the organization, with vendors, and with customers.  
  • Able to perform routine work with minimal supervision.  
  • Should have a Bachelor's degree in engineering and possess well-developed knowledge of engineering principles and practices.
  • Working knowledge of the organization's technology in general and comprehensive knowledge of (Discipline) design methods and practices in particular.
  • 5+ years of related engineering experience
