Job Description:

Job Summary
Operates the rigs communications systems, maintains the units POB, Lifeboat, helicopter and supply vessel manifests and assists with other administration duties as required

Minimum Qualifications
Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent
Experience: One years experience in the offshore industry or merchant navy
Certification: GMDSS Radio Operators License
Skills: Able to operate software applications as applicable to position; Proficient in verbal and written English language skills and able to effectively communicate
Other: Must pass Physical, Drug Screen and Background Check. Complete competency requirements for current position and work towards gaining competency in the next position.

1. Establishes and coordinates all radio communications
2. Receives and transmits radio communications in accordance with applicable international regulations
3. Responsible for continually updating POB and lifeboat lists as personnel movements take place
4. Performs and coordinates isolation of radio equipment and transmissions during periods of radio silence
5. Responsible for correspondence associated with helicopter operations, including radio communications with the heliport, weather, helicopters, passengers and cargo manifests
6. Inspection and maintenance of radio equipment, associated batteries and antenna's
7. Administration duties as instructed and directed by supervisor
8. Organize crew change activities, accommodation, air and ground transportation
9. Maintains a log of all aircraft activities
10. Be conversant in the companies data bases SAMS, TMS, Synergi etc
11. Ensure that the permit to work and isolation systems are strictly adhered
12. Ensure that approved rig operating procedures are adhered to at all times.  Report all unsafe activities, situations, and potential hazards to supervisor
13. Actively participate in weekly rig and departmental safety meetings
14. Actively participate in the Safety Management Systems
15. Ensure housekeeping is maintained in assigned areas
16. Effectively use all safety and environmental tools employed by Seadrill (4-point check, OBS cards, PTW etc.)
17. Complete training requirements in a timely manner as per Seadrill training matrix
18. Perform all emergency duties as per designation on the station bill
