Overview:
ETC Reliability Engineers work collaboratively across multiple organizations and assets of Chevron, and with multiple project teams, working from Houston or on site in business units. The engineers use reliability tools and techniques to improve reliability of existing assets and capital projects. They provide Reliability expertise to existing business units to identify needs, prioritize, improve, and/or train individuals and teams in their efforts to utilize Reliability tools and processes. Additionally, a significant portion of the engineer's time can be spent supporting capital projects, assuring Reliability is built into the asset throughout the design phase.

Key Job Responsibilities for this position:
Consultations with business units to evaluate reliability gaps, identify improvement opportunities, and develop and implement cost effective recommendations to improve facilities reliability performance
Management of formal reliability data collection programs and reliability databases
Reliability performance assessment of subsea facilities; analysis and presentation of failure, intervention and production/loss data and identification of reliability improvement opportunities
Leading and assisting Reliability-centered studies and projects using advanced reliability tools and techniques such as Reliability Modeling, Life Data Analysis, RAM simulation analyses, Failure Modes Effects Analysis (FMEA), Life Cycle Costs Analysis (LCCA) and Root Cause Analysis
Supporting Major Capital Project Teams building inherent reliability into facilities design using Design for Reliability tools and techniques
Supporting new technology qualification projects develop and meet reliability requirements and specifications
Facilitation and participation in Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for high impact investigations
Participation in the development and delivery of training material to increase Reliability organizational capability in the subsea engineering community

Required (Basic) Qualifications:
Bachelors degree (or equivalent) in Reliability Engineering, with Post graduate reliability qualifications preferred, however Science/Engineering bachelor's degree in lieu of RE qualifications, with significant experience in reliability skills areas detailed below will be considered
Knowledge of processes for designing, assessing and assuring reliability performance in both projects and operations
Knowledge of subsea facilities design, operations and inspection, maintenance & repair (IRM) programs and activities
Ability to clearly communicate via analysis, reports and presentations and be comfortable communicating and presenting to multiple levels of the organization
Have strong interpersonal and communication skills to enable excellent working relationship with business units and projects
The ability to work independently and as integral part of a technical team, recognized by technical experts from ETC and OPCO's for Reliability expertise
Demonstrated ability to lead / facilitate change efforts and/or reliability improvement efforts through consulting, influencing, and collaboration
