Technical Adviser - Wireless Fibre Optic Technology
Mackenzie Stuart are working in close partnership with a well-established reservoir monitoring and production optimisation brand. The company operate in over 20 multinational locations and employ over 800 staff.
Our client's products and services are well regarded within the market. Due to a recently developed new technology, they are currently looking to recruit a Technical Adviser to help research, develop, commercialise and provide technical expertise on Fibre Optics. The role will be based in Stavanger, Norway and have responsibility for the North Sea and wider Eastern Hemisphere market.
To be considered for the role you must meet the following requirements:
*Permit to live and work in the EU. Located or willing and able to relocate to Norway.
*Good level of general education required. B.Eng / Masters in Petroleum/Mechanical Engineering will add to your application.
*Must have in excess of 5 years of relevant experience in Reservoir Monitoring, with at least 2 years of supervisory/management experience.
*Must have a good knowledge of geoscience and reservoir engineering disciplines, as well as drilling & production operations.
*Specific technical knowledge, experience and expertise related to downhole electronics and fibre optics.
Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
*You will be responsible for the effective R&D, product development and commercialisation of their fibre optics business, liaising with the Global Product Manager.
*Developing and implementing new products and services, serving as lead facilitator for projects, and managing the engineering, design and technical aspects of operations.
*Assisting in the technical evaluation of quotes and tenders; liaising and weighing in on meetings with major North Sea & major global clients.
In return the successful candidate will receive a basic salary of c.£70,000 - £110,000 (flexible on experience) + bonus + benefits/expat package.
