    Shell Succeeds in Deepwater Brazil
    The Brazilian deepwater market broke open in the late 1990s when Petrobras signed contracts with outside companies. Only two foreign oil companies have served as an operator offshore Brazil. Shell was the first in 2002.
    Great Expectations for Greater Plutonio
    BP’s Greater Plutonio project, which is spread over an area of approximately 5,000 sq km, lies in 1,200-1,500 m of water in Block 18 off Angola. It is expected to come onstream this year.
    Perdido Project makes Production a Possibility
    Shell has unveiled plans to develop Great While as well as its Tobago and Silvertip Fields via a Perdido Regional Development host moored in about 8,000 f of water. First production from Perdido is expected around the turn of the decade.
