After reaching a total measured depth of 9,606 feet (2,928 meters), the B-02 sidetrack well encountered pay in the Lower Oligocene reservoir. The well also encountered several hundred feet of oil shows in a fractured Lower Oligocene Lacustrine shale interval, which needs to be evaluated further to determine the reservoir's viability. The operator is drilling the sidetrack well to target a thicker section of the area that was seismically identified. Due to mechanical issues with the drilling rig's top drive, the B-02 well was temporarily delayed. Currently, the rig's top drive is being repaired and the rig should return to operations in roughly 10 days. Additionally, workover operations commenced on the Songkhla A-04 well and should be completed by next week. Once completed, Songkhla A-04, A-01 and A-03 electric submersible pumps will be replaced with higher volume ESPs. The operator also stated that the Bua Ban platform was installed and hookup and commissioning operations have commenced. The platform should be finalized in April ? and the FSO should be ready for installation at Bua Ban in mid-April.
